Apply for a legal clerkship at Cornelius + Krage

Having passed the Second State Examination in Law, the majority of all trainee lawyers pursue a career as a lawyer. Qualified training during the lawyer's stage forms an essential preparation for this professional future. But also in the exams, practice as a lawyer is playing an ever-increasing role.

We offer interested trainee lawyers qualified training during the period of legal clerkship. Our law firm is a lawyers' partnership exclusively commercial law oriented with a notaries' office based in Kiel, in the Sell-Speicher directly on the Kiel Fjord (Kieler Förde).

Since in the exams particular emphasis is placed on the conduct of lawsuits, it forms also the main focus of the training. You can accompany suitable cases starting from the acceptance of the mandate up to execution and attend respective court hearings. If you have already acquired knowledge of our sectors of priority in the course of your prior training, we offer you an opportunity to extend your knowledge in practice. For giving trainee lawyers feedback on their work, there has been drawn up a rating sheet on which trainee lawyers can obtain ratings for the respective papers to be prepared and work to be done. Evaluation meetings after completion of the papers/work are a matter of course; questions are always welcome.

You convince by legal performance above average and are interested in economic matters and contexts. Basic knowledge of commercial and company law is desirable. If you dispose of a good command of English or a Scandinavian language, you can also work on international cases.

If you are interested in a training stage at Cornelius + Krage, please contact Mr. Andreas Kolberg, Lawyer.
